Wall Stickers: Installation guide
If you've just bought a wall sticker (thank you!) you may be wondering the best way to get it on your wall, so I have created this little guide to make installation as easy as possible.
If you have a small wall sticker - poster sized, or one of the solar system stickers, installation will be very easy. Larger stickers like the alphabet runner or even the largest solar system poster may require a bit more preparation to get it just right.
Always make sure the wall is nice and clean before applying. Free from dust or dirt which may interfere with the stickiness. Once the wall is clean and dry, I make sure I have a few points marked out of the wall for the length of your poster, just to make sure you can easily find a straight line. Once you have your area and a light pencil guide, peel off one end of your poster, make sure it's straight and apply to the wall. Then slowly peel the rest of the backing off, pressing down as you go, so that by the time you get to the end, the whole sticker is on the wall. This will prevent the sticker becoming tangled or sticking to itself. The material is flexible enough that if this does happen, it's not a big deal. Just gently remove and reposition it, and everything will be fine. But I recommend the first method to make everything run as smoothly as possible.
The material can be taken off and re-applied many times though, so if you don't get it quite right, don't worry - it's a very forgiving sticker!
I always recommend that people keep the backing somewhere safe, so if you do want to take it down and store it, the backing is there to put it back onto. This would be handy for moving houses, if you're doing renovations or painting, or just want to keep it to hand on to another friend or family member.
If you have any further questions on the stickers, feel free to get in touch. I'm very happy to chat about any issues or queries.
